Normally we share with you stories of our students, residential girls, and projects that we are developing on our campus.  However, today, we want to focus on the staff who make all of those things possible.

Without the 102 Mainsprings team members across both campuses, we wouldn't have a school that's in the top 1% of the country where we offer a broad range of extracurricular activities and resources.  We wouldn't be able to train and mentor other organizations in permaculture design as a leader in the region, be able to provide a loving family for our residential girls as they grow up, or continue to support them in their higher education and careers.  Especially over the last few months, our team has shown immense flexibility, creativity and dedication to the mission, and we'd like to recognize them today.  We're so very grateful for all they do.

We're also grateful for you.  Since March, local markets in Tanzania have been empty and most workers in the country were not paid for months on end.  Because of your unwavering support this spring, we were able to keep all staff on board at Mainsprings and make payroll as usual.  This was an anomaly in our region. Staff were also able to purchase any produce they needed from the farm during this time, since fresh food was in short supply.  This allowed our staff to care for their families and continue to do their jobs. Thank you for making this possible.

Our team has been innovative and has gone above and beyond as we navigate this season.  This month, we have a short video to say thank you to all the staff at Mainsprings who do so much each day to make our mission a reality.

We'd also like to take a moment to honor the staff who have been with Mainsprings for 10 years or more.  They have grown with us and helped make us who we are.

Thank you for your dedication and congratulations on 10 years!
